Authentic Beauty Concept: Amplify vs Glow vs Hydrate vs Replenish – Which Is Right for You?
Authentic Beauty Concept: Amplify vs Glow vs Hydrate vs Replenish – Which Is Right for You?
By Chloe Ogilvie
If you’re trying to choose between Authentic Beauty Concept’s Amplify, Glow, Hydrate and Replenish ranges, the easiest way to think about them is:
Amplify = volume
Glow = colour & shine
Hydrate = moisture
Replenish = repair
Having tried all four, they genuinely feel quite different on the hair. Here’s what I’d recommend and when.
Amplify – For Fine, Flat Hair
If your hair is fine, lacks volume or gets weighed down easily, Amplify would be my first choice.
The Amplify Cleanser & Foam Conditioner Duo is a great everyday combination for keeping hair soft and manageable without sacrificing that lightweight, airy feeling.
If volume is your main priority, though, I’d go for the Amplify Root-Lift 4-in-1 Bundle. It gives you a more complete volumising routine and offers better value with a bigger bundle discount than purchasing the products separately.
Best for: Fine, flat hair that needs body without heaviness.
Glow – For Coloured Hair & Shine
Glow is my pick for coloured hair that's generally in good condition but needs help maintaining its shine and vibrancy.
The Glow Cleanser & Conditioner Duo would be my starting point. Together they leave coloured hair feeling smooth and polished while helping maintain that fresh-from-the-salon look.
If your hair is highlighted but healthy, I'd choose Glow. If it's heavily bleached and feels weak or brittle, I'd move over to Replenish.
Best for: Coloured or highlighted hair where shine and colour care are the priority.
Hydrate – For Dry, Thirsty Hair
If your hair feels dry, frizzy, coarse or simply thirsty, I'd choose Hydrate.
For everyday dryness, the Hydrate Cleanser & Conditioner Duo is usually enough to leave hair noticeably softer and more manageable.
For hair that needs more, the Hydrate Intense Package is my pick. It gives you a more intensive moisture routine and, with the additional bundle discount, is better value than purchasing the included products individually.
Best for: Dry, frizzy, curly or textured hair that needs moisture and softness.
Replenish – For Damaged & Bleached Hair
This is where people often get confused: Hydrate is for dryness; Replenish is for damage.
If your hair feels weak, brittle, over-processed or has suffered from bleaching and heat styling, I'd choose Replenish.
The Replenish Cleanser & Conditioner Duo is a great starting point for everyday repair, but more damaged hair will benefit from one of the packages.
For fine-to-normal damaged hair, I'd choose the Replenish Light Package. You get additional repair without making finer hair feel unnecessarily heavy.
For thicker, coarser or very damaged hair, I'd choose the Replenish Rich Package for more intensive nourishment.
Both packages also offer a better bundle discount than purchasing the products individually, making them particularly good value if you want the complete Replenish routine.
Best for: Bleached, weakened, heat-damaged or over-processed hair.
Which One Should You Choose?
Fine or flat? → Amplify
Start with the Cleanser & Conditioner Duo or choose the Amplify Root-Lift 4-in-1 Bundle for the complete volume routine.
Coloured and lacking shine? → Glow
The Glow Cleanser & Conditioner Duo would be my choice.
Dry or frizzy? → Hydrate
Try the Cleanser & Conditioner Duo, or the Hydrate Intense Package for a bigger moisture boost.
Damaged or bleached? → Replenish
Start with the Cleanser & Conditioner Duo, then choose the Replenish Light Package for finer hair or Replenish Rich Package for thicker or more seriously damaged hair.
And don't be afraid to mix ranges. Your roots and ends don't always need the same thing – sometimes the best Authentic Beauty Concept routine is a combination of two.
